What is Sports Arbitrage?
Sports arbitrage (also called "arbing") is the practice of placing bets on all possible outcomes of a sporting event across different bookmakers — in such a way that you are guaranteed a profit regardless of the result. This works because different bookmakers price odds differently. When the combined implied probabilities of all outcomes add up to less than 100%, a surebet exists.
What are Surebets?
A surebet is a specific combination of odds across two or more bookmakers where, if you stake the right amounts on each outcome, you profit no matter who wins. Example: Bookmaker A offers 2.10 on Team A to win, and Bookmaker B offers 2.10 on Team B to win. Stake GHS 47.62 on each side = total stake GHS 95.24, guaranteed return GHS 100 = GHS 4.76 profit (5% margin).
